It is an emotional, overwrought attack on the concerned taxpayers who spoke up and showed up at last Thursday's library board meeting. The taxpayers who, rightfully, complained about the over-politicized, age-inappropriate materials and activities and staff-picked books that are constantly being pushed on the public without any opposing viewpoint being presented. That there's input and pushback on some of the decisions the library leadership is completely responsible for, is how this ideal called "consent of the governed" works.
Judge for yourselves if you would describe the comments made at this meeting as "vile" and "hateful."

Last night (Sept 7 2022) the Bear Creek Township board met. Comments were made concerning the behavior of the Petoskey District Library Board by the township board and other members of the community. Bear Creek Township provides $200,000 in funding to the Petoskey District Library and has no voice in how the money is spent. The Petoskey District Library is proselytizing our children to an anti-Christian agenda including promoting homosexuality and many types of deviant sexual behavior. Funding 19% of the library’s budget should entitle the people of Bear Creek Township to at least one board member of the Petoskey Public Library.
