Lisa Peacock has proffered her resignation to the Northwest Michigan Board of Health, effective April 29th. The Health Officer has been embroiled in a controversy, which she began by requiring public school students to wear masks, overruling the Board of Health's decision to scrap the mandate. Ending her 12-year tenure, she noted that she has had to endure retaliation (bullying) based on her edict.
