This past Friday, homeschoolers, from the Soaring High Christian Homeschool group and a local Classical Conversations, participated in a mock trail competition at the 90th District Court.
The Honorable Angela Lasher (pictured) presided over the mock trial with area citizens, including attorneys, acting as jurors.
According to the Petoskey News-Review: The homeschoolers, ages 13-15, prepared "both the prosecution and defense of a hypothetical murder case over the past 15 weeks."
That's fairly rigorous, and we applaud the students, the parents, the volunteers, the judge, and Emmet County for working together to pull off this educational endeavor. Lex rex!
