There's a mushroom foraging adventure planned for the evening which should be hobbity-fun. But of special interest to ERG supporters is a presentation by AxeMiTax which is working on a ballot proposal that would ask voters to eliminate the property tax. One of the organizers of the initiative, Kent County relator Karla Wagner, has said, "We have a lot of people who are voting for millages, but they're not paying. Property taxes are paid by the few for the benefit of the many."
Melanie Greenfield is the chair of True North Patriots - a name that is familiar to many northern Michigan activists due to her tireless work on behalf of conservative causes.
