Jerry Weedman, resident of Bear Creek Township, wrote a memorable letter to the Emmet County Board of Commissioners regarding the Transit Authority that local progressives are ardently clamoring for. He notes, "... the people who want to turn the county into a bus company, having been unsuccessful so far, are now attempting to use the power of the ETA to force their dystopian views on the rest of us."
