This is 'Holy Week' - Palm Sunday, April 2nd, to Easter, April 8th.
Yesterday, the Christian world celebrated Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem riding on a humble donkey. He was greeted by a crowd waving palm branches. (John 12: 12 -13)
Thursday - Maundy Thursday as some call it - is a remembrance of the foot washing and Last Supper of Jesus' with his disciples. (Mark 14: 12 - 25.)
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and His death at Calvary, and Saturday is the commemoration of His body resting in a tomb. (John 19:30)
Easter Sunday or "Jesus is Risen" from the dead day. (Matthew 28: 5-6)
However you choose to spend this week, we hope it's spiritual and fruitful, and a reminder that Jesus' resurrection transcends politics and the temporal cares.
Excellent post! Bless you.
